2. Consequences of Unauthorized Move - out

  • The contract remains valid: Simply abandoning the tenancy (e.g., dropping the keys in the mailbox) does not terminate the contract. The apartment provider can continue to charge rent until:
       
  • Legal action: The apartment provider may pursue legal action through the court to recover the outstanding rent. If the apartment is successfully re - rented, the outstanding rent will be calculated up to the date when the new tenant moves in.

3. Process for Replacing a Tenant
