Acommodation rules
Cancellation policy 1. Cancellation more than 30 days before the start date of the agreement:
You can cancel the lease agreement without penalty.
2. Cancellation within 30 days before the start date of the agreement:
A termination fee equivalent to two weeks' rent will be charged.
1. If you fail to obtain an Australian student visa:
You are required to notify the relevant property in writing at least 7 days before the start of the agreement.
Provide a written letter of visa refusal from the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) as sufficient evidence.
You can cancel the agreement without penalty, and the paid amount can be refunded or transferred to a new agreement.
You can also choose to continue with the agreement and assume all ongoing obligations.
2. If you fail to obtain a placement (university admission):
You are required to notify the accommodation in writing within 72 hours after receiving the non - admission notice.
Provide a certificate from the tertiary admissions center as sufficient evidence.
The cancellation policy is the same as that for failing to obtain a visa.
1. Border closure:
You are required to notify the accommodation in writing at least 30 days before the start of the agreement.
With sufficient evidence and notice, you can cancel the agreement without penalty.
The paid amount can be refunded or transferred to a new agreement, and you can also choose to continue with the agreement.
2. Visa delay:
You can postpone the start date of the lease due to visa delay or border closure.
The start date of the lease will be adjusted to the start date of the next semester's contract.
The price may increase, and the rent commitment for the postponed reservation will be equal to the advertised price for that semester.
The prepaid rent paid to the property as part of the deposit will be refunded within 14 - 28 days.
The paid amount can be either refunded or transferred to a new agreement.
The final interpretation right belongs to the apartment.
