Situated on the Colchester Campus, close to the estuary of the River Colne, it is only a 10 - minute walk from the main campus.
It takes no more than 5 minutes to walk to the Essex Business School, bus stops (Hythe and Wivenhoe train stations, Colchester city centre), and Home Bargains.
It takes 15 minutes or less to walk to the North and Causeway teaching centres, The Squares, the Students' Union shop, Hythe train station, and Tesco.
It takes up to 30 minutes to walk to the sports stadium, gym, lecture halls, and Albert Sloman Library.
Apartment Facilities
The rooms are equipped with a small double - bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, shelving unit, mirror, table lamp, bin, and an en - suite bathroom. The rooms are located in Conway, Arber, and Cole Houses, and each building has an elevator. A kitchen is shared by 5 - 7 people, equipped with a stove, oven, multiple fridges/freezers, microwave, kettle, ironing board, and vacuum cleaner. There is a Pavilion which includes a communal lounge and a laundry room (washing machines and dryers are available, and you need to bring your own detergent). Each room has an individual mailbox and key, and large parcels are kept at the reception of The Poplar building. There are Amazon lockers on campus.

Close to Colchester city centre and Hythe train station, it provides convenient access to London and local business districts.
Large supermarkets and pharmacies are within walking distance, meeting daily shopping and medical needs.
